Equipment reservation rules

A practical manual for booking, receiving, using and returning equipment.

What is the technique for?

School equipment for school work

Faculty of Dramatic Arts equipment is intended for teaching, student projects, and approved school activities. It is not intended for private, commercial, or external assignments.

01 / Booking conditions

Who can book?

Access conditions

Only a FATRAS student who has an assigned account in the reservation system, does not have equipment that has not been returned after the deadline, and does not have limited access to reservations for violating the rules can reserve equipment.

Login

You log in to the system with your school email and create your own password.

Reservation details

When booking, always state the purpose of the loan, the name of the project, and, if necessary, a note about the loan.

First booking

When making your first reservation, you will personally sign a confirmation of familiarization with the rules for booking, using, and returning equipment.

The range of equipment you can reserve depends on your practical experience, skills, and ability to use specific equipment.

Advanced technology

It is available to students who have completed the Film Studio Practice I and II and have demonstrated the ability to work safely and independently with specific techniques.

03 / Throughout the rental period

Personal responsibility

Only the student for whom the reservation is made may reserve, collect, and return the equipment. It is not possible to reserve the equipment for another person or transfer responsibility to another student.

Throughout the entire rental period, you are responsible for the completeness of the equipment, its proper use, safe storage, transport, and timely return.

Equipment warehouse at a film studio.

Standard loanUp to 48 hours

During exercises, school events and student projects.

Weekend rentalMaximum 72 hours

The equipment can only be picked up and returned on the date confirmed in the reservation system. In exceptional cases, please contact the technician.

An exception to the loan length is only possible for multiple consecutive filming days, especially for year, bachelor's and master's degree films.

If it is not possible to use the standard length, please include the reason, the number of filming days, and the name of the teacher who is directing the film in the notes when booking

05 / Before leaving the warehouse

Download and use

Check upon download

  • completeness of the technique,
  • functionality and visible damage,
  • battery status,
  • all other accessories.

During the rental

  • Use technology only for its approved purpose.
  • Handle it professionally and gently.
  • Don't leave her unattended.
  • Do not lend it to other people.

06 / Before handover

Return of equipment

On time

Return the equipment in person and on the confirmed date.

Complete and clean

The equipment must be in a clean and orderly condition with accessories properly stored.

Ready

Batteries must be charged and cards formatted.

With event recording

Report damage, malfunction, loss of component, or other unusual event that occurred during use.

07 / Violation of the rules

Delay, damage or loss

The equipment is returned late after the deadline specified in the reservation. If an exceptional situation prevents timely return, please contact the technician.

Within 24 hoursNotice
More than 24 hoursReservations blocked for 30 days
Repeated or serious violationBlocking until the end of the semester and individual solution with the management of the workplace. In justified cases, the restriction may be carried over to the next semester.

Damage, loss or non-return

It is considered a serious violation of the rules for borrowing equipment and student obligations. The case will be individually resolved by the management of the workplace and submitted to the Dean of FDU.

The assessment takes into account the circumstances of the damage, the degree of fault and the extent of the damage. The solution may include determining the method of compensation or redress.

08 / Workplace decision

Technician's rights

The technician has the right:

  • reject or modify a reservation,
  • shorten the loan period,
  • not to issue a technique if there is doubt about the student's competence,
  • not to release equipment beyond the scope of assigned access,
  • suspend access for rule violations.
