Creation
and teaching

The study is based on traditional film professions that participate in the creation of a work - from choosing a topic, research and script preparation, through direction, camera, sound and editing to the final finishing work. The basis of teaching is practical work. During the study, students carry out a set of film exercises in which they gradually acquire film thinking, the ability to observe reality, work with the topic, character, situation, image, sound and editing composition.

An important part of the study is the development of an individual author's perspective. Each student is encouraged to search for their own themes, their own way of telling stories, and their own unique film language. In creative dialogue with teachers, they gradually shape their own style and learn to transform an idea into a complete audiovisual work. The result of the semester work is an author's film, which the student presents at a public screening.

The programme also offers space to deepen practical skills in individual film professions - in camera, screenwriting, editing, sound or production. Through mandatory elective courses, the student can develop the areas that best match his talent and professional direction. In this way, he gains a broader range of creative and technical skills and greater flexibility in future professional practice in the audiovisual sector.

We perceive documentary film as a living and open space - for observing the world, personal statement, experiment, social reflection and formal search. Students learn to work with reality creatively and responsibly, but at the same time have the opportunity to go beyond the boundaries of classic Documentary Filmmaking towards hybrid forms, experiments or feature films.

The goal of the study is to educate a creative personality capable of thinking independently, sensitively perceiving the world around them, and transforming their own perspective into a convincing film work.
