Poděbradské dni poézie is a traditional festival, dominated by the art of reciters from Slovakia, Moravia and Bohemia. Students of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts of the Academy of Arts annually participate in the international competition within the Poetry and Prose Recitation Forum. They also achieved significant success in the Czech-Slovak competition this year.
Anyone who visits Poděbrady for the aforementioned festival will leave enchanted and the memory is permanent. At this point, the dogma that the performance is an outmoded form of artistic expression, which was previously associated with a totalitarian regime and is therefore already outdated, falls. Even students who once experience the festival event, saturated with emotionality, the power of words, young energy and great artistic performances on both the Czech and Slovak sides, long to return to
the environment, which represents a fascinating world of emotions and recharges with creative energy. After a year of pandemic, when the festival, to the sadness of many, did not take place, the current 58th year was attended by students Roman Hargaš, Ivan Vanko, Mária Knoppová, Terézia Blahová, Eva Gribová, Zuzana Ogurčáková, Klára Novotná and Norbert Čabala.
From June 24th to 27th, 2021, at the international forum, students recorded the following successes:
Eva Gribová - Award for Outstanding Artistic Performance and Audience Award
Zuzana Ogurčáková - Award of Radio and Television of Slovakia
Klára Novotná - Award for Dramaturgy
Even among the current young generation of actors, there are those who perceive recitation as their hobby. And it is among such that we must look for the best performers who help the listener find the way to beautiful literature and open up the world of emotions, the magic of words and the magic of imagination. Poděbrady are those who will always remind us that this dimension of spirituality is extremely important and necessary in today's era, which is moving towards robotization and artificial intelligence.
