Students from various departments FDU (Acting, Dramaturgy, Directing and Theatrology and Documentary Filmmaking) participated in the 48th edition of the Zvolen Castle Plays 2021 – Restart, which took place from June 3 to 12, 2021.
František Mikuš and Róbert Sipos performed in the street Festival Telegrams, Jaroslav Voľanský monitored the festival events from the perspective of a theatrological platform, and Stanislav Králik captured the festival events behind the camera and thanks to him we were able to watch the video diaries Festival Minutes. The choreography of the street Festival Telegrams was signed by Soňa Kočanová.
During the Zvolen Castle Plays 2021 - Reštart festival, we also met with the actors of DJGT in Zvolen and at the same time with other assistant professors and doctoral students FDU AU BB, with Barbora Špániková and Marek Rozkoš during the Festival Telegrams and with Richard Sanitr during the festival podcasts. Other assistant professors of the Department of Acting František Výrostko and Tomáš Mischura came to Zvolen to guest with the Slovak Chamber Theatre's production of Martin's The Earth Remembers, and doctoral student Filip Jekkel was a guest in the Shepherd's Symphony of the Pôtoň.
The International Summer Theatre Festival Castle Plays of Zvolen (ZHZ) is the oldest open-air theatre festival in Slovakia. The organizer is the JG Tajovského Theatre (DJGT) in Zvolen in cooperation with the Slovak National Gallery – Castle Zvolen and with the support of the City of Zvolen. It takes place every year in June.
We would like to thank the Jozef Gregor Tajovského Theatre in Zvolen and the entire team for organizing this great festival and also for the professional, yet friendly and open cooperation with our faculty.
We are already looking forward to the next time.
