On March 1, 2023, an intensive workshop of the ooo association was held at the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica, Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Department of Acting, led by artist Anna Čonková. The workshop was specifically aimed at the analysis and interpretation of selected works by the Slovak conceptual artist Milan Adamčiak. The workshop is part of the series New Ears: Workshops of Contemporary Music of the ooo association. The workshop is part of the ooo_2023 project, which was supported by the Arts Support Fund as the main partner from public funds. Anna Čonková (*1986) is an experimental musician and theatre and film actress. She is a graduate of alternative and puppet theatre acting at DAMU Prague. She has worked in the Bratislava Puppet Theatre and other stone and alternative ensembles. Since 2015, in addition to acting, she has also been developing the Stavros Papadopulos music project, which explores the human voice in various subject-object constellations and other authorial sound activities. He conducts workshops focused on the interpretation of sound poetry and extended vocal techniques. Milan Adamčiak (1946 – 2017) was a conceptual artist, author of visual and sound poetry, musician, composer, performer, musicologist and university teacher. He fundamentally shaped the form of contemporary art in Slovakia since the 1960s. In 2017, the Slovak National Gallery held the artist's solo retrospective exhibition Adamčiak, start!. His works have been exhibited and presented all over the world (Prague, Vienna, Tokyo, New York and others.) The OOO Association was established in spring 2020 as a specialized space for sound art, performative art and intermedia. In less than 3 years, he has carried out a number of authorial, curatorial and organizational activities, including e.g. organization of the annual JAMA event, organization of the international collective exhibition Lost Man in the curatorial concept of Lucie G. Stach, Slovak premiere and presentation of the significant work of electroacoustic music I Am Sitting in a Room by American composer A. Lucier, author's series Sound Topographies focused on acoustic ecology, sound installations POST and Sound Atlas of the Bridge, and cooperation on the dramaturgy of the Trenčín ECOC 2026 project.
