The poetry theatre SENT THE MAIDEN TO THE TURKEY, which was supported by the IGS AU BB and FPU, will be the main guest of the programme of the XXIII. year of the A. Jurkovičová Festival in Nové Mesto nad Váhom, within which the Kvet Tálie award will be awarded to actresses Zuzana Kronerová and Zuzana Kocúriková.

This is an unusual theatrical treatment and connection of several Hviezdoslav ballads. The performance, full of singing, lively dulcimer music and unique poetics of words, enhances the dramatic atmosphere of true human stories. The attractive presentation of Hviezdoslav's work among the general public is a demonstration that it can still be understandable not only for young people today. At the same time, it is a reminder of the importance of the work of the writer Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his death.
